One more time Haworth, a prestige sponsor of the 2014 Shanghai Rolex Masters has leaded the creation of the new Club Lounge, the best and more confortable player lounge experience of the whole ATP Tenis tournament.

As a new feature this year the company has added to the Club Lounge the ‘Pure Air’ by Zonair3d, one of the most advanced air purification systems in the world, in order to provide the players with the cleanest air on site to support the wellness philosophy of Haworth and the tournament organizers.

In cooperation with Juss Events, the organizers of The Shanghai Rolex Masters, Haworth engaged the players through the survey in the actual design process to create what is viewed by the players and their coaches as the most enjoyable lounge space on the tour.

In this case the design process is particularly important given that there is a lot of time spent by player’s in this location during a tournament so that the facilities, furniture and services need to make them as comfortable as when they are back in their hotel or at home.

“After touring a number of the premier tournaments around the world, we were surprised to see how impersonal the lounge spaces were for the players and their teams”, said Frank Rexach, Vice President & General Manager for Haworth based in Shanghai. “By researching what they are looking for, we were able to create a space that makes them feel like they are in a home away from home”.

From this research, Haworth created what is called ‘The Club’ — a comfortable, relaxing and spacious lounge with ergonomic furniture, good interior lighting, a DJ spinning contemporary music, beautiful design and high quality food and beverage with the services from the Hilton – a global hospitality leader.

The Shanghai Rolex Masters has received Tournament of the Year as voted by the players themselves for the past five years and the Player’s Lounge features as a key factor according to the tournament organisers.
